Our track record has proved time and time again that fixings for concrete are our specialty. We entered the new year with the all new R-HLX screw for concrete officially joining our selection of anchors and screws.

The strength of our solution lies in the innovative forging and heat treatment process which guarantees the excellent characteristics and elasticity of the steel used to manufacture the final product. Our new high-quality R-HLX screws for concrete have been engineered with zinc-flake coating, providing extreme corrosion resistance confirmed in a salt spray test yielding a result of 15,000 hours!

The R-HLX represents a new quality of fixing, delivered by its meticulously designed form. Featuring a new thread profile with undercutting teeth and a new shape of the screw tip, each improvement translates directly into the screw’s high utility value in various applications.

The all new induction-hardened R-HLX concrete screws are available in two variants: R-HLX-CS-ZF – countersunk head concrete screw, and R-HLX-HF-ZF – zinc-flake coated hexagonal head concrete screw.

Let’s take a closer look:

  • Unique single thread with a pronounced pitch outline – for ease and speed of installation.
  • Sharp thread edge – for maximised undercutting and enhanced fixing in harder materials.
  • Thread terminated with additional undercutting teeth – for fast and easy installation, also in reinforced concrete of grades C20/25–C50/60.
  • Tip of optimised shape and indented thread – for effective anchoring that starts at the very thread beginning.
  • Different head types – for optimal screw and fixture match.
  • Zinc-flake coating – for corrosion resistance ranging from 800 to 1,500 hours.

Why choose the R-HLX screw for concrete?

Structural modifications translate into technical properties. What comes with the innovative form of the new R-HLX concrete screw is everything you can expect from fasteners intended for such applications.

The R-HLX stands for:

  • Highest load capacities achieved through uniform force distribution along the entire screw, which means that forces are distributed analogically in substrates and in the elements embedded in them.
  • Mechanical strength obtained through induction hardening, ensuring high hardness and high core impact strength.
  • Effective base material undercutting which makes it possible to fix the screws even in close proximity to edges and other fasteners.
  • Seismic performance categories of C1 and C2, making the product suitable for use in earthquake-prone areas.
  • Fire resistance up to 120 minutes, enabling application in zones which require fire resistance.
  • Made in Poland – the screws are manufactured in one of the largest and most renowned cold forging plants in Europe, with experience in design engineering as well as in production for the automotive industry. Also the steel used in the production of the R-HLX screws comes from a Polish steel mill.

What to use the R-HLX concrete screws for?

Our concrete screws reach high load transfer capacities thanks to base material undercutting by the sharp edge of the thread. This is the main feature which distinguishes them from conventional mechanical anchors, as the latter owe their load bearing capacity to expansion mechanisms. This characteristic is the very basis of the application versatility of the R-HLX concrete screws.

Our concrete screws reach high load transfer capacities thanks to concrete undercutting by the sharp edge of the thread. This is the main feature which distinguishes them from conventional mechanical anchors, as the latter owe their load bearing capacity to expansion mechanisms. This characteristic is the very basis of the application versatility of the R-HLX concrete screws. Moreover, the screws have been so designed to make the effective depth of anchorage in concrete start at the very tip of the anchor, while the thread extending over the anchor’s entire length ensures enhanced mating with the substrate, and consequently – higher load capacities.

What are the R-HLX concrete screws optimised for? Temporary installation, where it is possible to remove and reuse the screw once the thread has been positively verified for wear with a tester. Near-edge fixing in concrete, where they guarantee secure and lasting installation without causing damage to the substrate. Installation with fasteners densely spaced, where they ensure secure fixing in close proximity of other screws, as well as in the C1–C2 earthquake zones, and where resistance to high temperature is required.

Concrete screw R-HLX is suitable for fixings in concrete of all types and in stone.

It is the diversity of application capabilities that makes the R-HLX concrete screw an excellent solution for fixing elements such as poles and road signs, railings and balustrades, seats in public venues, and various steel structures in cracked and non-cracked concrete, reinforced and non-reinforced concrete, as well as in stone substrates.

And since this is a one-piece fixing solution, you don’t need to use any washers or nuts.
On top of that, the screws require no special tools for installation; all you need is an impact driver, like the R-PID18-XL2. If necessary, the screws can be removed in an non-invasive manner.

The following variations of the R-HLX screws are currently available in offering:

  • R-HLX-CS-ZF – zinc-flake coated countersunk head induction-hardened concrete screw
  • R-HLX-HF-ZF – zinc-flake coated hexagonal head induction-hardened concrete screw
